The demo hears you in your browser only. The app transcribes on your Mac.
Works wherever you type
Three keys
Flow sits behind your keyboard. You never switch windows, copy or paste. Pick different keys any time in Settings.
Hold fn, say it the way you'd say it, let go. Your words land where your cursor is, in any app. No window to switch to, nothing to paste.
Double-tap fn and keep talking for as long as you like, a long email, a spec, a voice note to yourself. One more tap and it's typed.
Tap right ⌘ in an empty box and Flow writes your reply from the thread you're looking at and what it remembers. At the end of a paragraph, it rephrases what you wrote.
Context is the whole point
Flow keeps a private memory of what you see while you work: the email, the doc, the calendar, the chat. Tap right ⌘ and the reply uses the right names, numbers and next steps, without you looking anything up.
Rephrase
Put your cursor at the end of a paragraph and tap right ⌘. Flow rewrites just that paragraph in your voice, and fixes the facts on the way: the real number, the right file, the date you agreed.
hey so wanted to say the pilot went good i think and numbers are up a lot, will send stuff soon
It learns your words
Your cofounder's name. Your product. The acronym your team invented last week. Flow picks them up from your screen on its own and gets them right the next time you say them. Remove any word and it never comes back.
Memory
Flow keeps a quiet timeline of your work, a page for each person you talk to, and a list of what you promised and what you were asked. Search all of it in milliseconds.
Private by design
Flow sees a lot so it can help a lot. That's exactly why none of it goes anywhere.
Dictation runs on a speech engine inside the app. It works offline, on a plane, with Wi-Fi off.
What Flow remembers is a private database in your Library. Nothing is uploaded, nothing trains anything.
Passwords, one-time codes, card and ID numbers are masked before anything is stored. Password managers and private windows are never read.
Pause remembering in one click, delete any day, or turn the writer off. Flow never sends a message for you.
Flow is free during the beta. Download it, hold fn, and talk.

Any app with a text box: Slack, WhatsApp, Gmail, Notion, Linear, Messages, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Google Docs, and the rest. It types where your cursor is.
Flow is faster to trigger, learns your names and jargon on its own, keeps a private memory of your work, and can write the whole reply, or clean up a paragraph you wrote, with the right context.
A Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer) on macOS 13 or later. About 300 MB of space, plus about 2.5 GB if you turn on the local writer.
